What causes acne scars, dark spots, melasma, and freckles?

Acne scars, dark spots, melasma, and freckles are things that do not negatively affect the body but it may affect your confidence. Each treatment takes some time for facial skin to return to being smooth and bright. The facial skin problem is caused by different causes as follow:
- Acne
Acne is a common type of facial skin problem that no one wants. It is caused by inflammation or infection of hair follicles of the sebaceous glands under the skin. It looks like a small blister or clogged lump inside the skin layer. Though it affects people of all ages, acne is most common among teenagers due to changes in androgen hormones that produce more oil and enlarged sebaceous glands, resulting in acne breakouts on the body. There are many types of acne, depending on the origin of acne; such as whiteheads, blackheads, papules, pustules, nodules, or severe nodular acne. - PAR (Post Acne Erythema)
Post Acne Erythema (PAR) caused by inflammatory acne as having inflammatory acne will result in inflamed capillaries, swelling, or expansion as well. But when the inflamed acne is gone, the capillaries are still congested in the inflamed area, making it visible as a pink to dark spot. - PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation)
Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) is caused by having inflammatory acne for long periods of time until it stimulates cells to produce more melanin pigments on the top layer of skin together with being stimulated by external factors, such as sunlight and other environments. This causes dark brown to black spots on the face. Moreover, picking or scratching acne increases the risk of hyperpigmentation as well. - Melasma
Melasma is a common pigmentation disorder that causes excessive pigment production on epidermis, which might come from stimulation of the environment, genetics, pregnancy, hormone therapy, or makeup. Melasma is light brown or black patches on the skin, primarily on the face such as cheekbones, nose, and forehead. - Freckles
Freckles are small brown or black spots, not a patch, on the face and neck that are exposed to sunlight. Freckles often appear as a result of skin producing melanin more than normal when exposed to sunlight for long periods of time. It can spread and get darker if it is stimulated by various environments, especially sunlight. It is mostly found in people with white skin tone, both children and adults.

How to treat these facial problems?
Nowadays, there are many ways to treat scars according to the degree of severity of the problems. However, dermatologists must be consulted every time. There are 3 main ways of treatment as follows:
- Acne cream / Oral medication
Acne cream can help reduce clogged and inflamed acne, help fade acne scars, and be able to kill Cutibacterium Acnes (C. Acnes) bacteria that are mixed within acne. While oral medication will be prescribed by dermatologists to help reduce acne infection and reduce acne inflammation. This treatment is suitable for inflamed acne and Nodules. - Scrub
There are many formulas for skin scrubs which you should select the one that is suitable with your skin problems so that it can be solved exactly on the spot. The scrub helps get rid of dead skin cells, remove acne scars, and make your facial skin firmer ! This treatment should be done twice a week for several months in order to see best results. - Meso Melasma
Meso Melasma is the injection of a variety of concentrated extracts which are essential nutrients into skin. The extracts will be absorbed into skin immediately, thus reducing melasma, freckles, and dark spots faster than applying skincare. Meso Melasma treatment will not make those dark spots disappear 100%, but help control and inhibit melanin pigmentation to slow down the spread of melasma. - Acne Laser
There are different types of acne lasers to treat acne on the spot, such as to help cleaning pores, reducing bacteria, reducing inflamed acne, and reducing dark spots.

What is Dual Yellow Laser at Summer Clinic?
Dual Yellow Laser is a non-ablative laser that uses yellow and green light to target specific skin problems such as inflamed acne, dark spots, melasma, and freckles. It cuts the blood vessels that produce pigment under your skin, makes melanin pigment cells die and disappear naturally. This treatment does not leave scars or scabs which can reduce dark spots, acne scars, melasma, and freckles effectively. The machine was imported from Australia and was approved by the U.S. FDA and CE, so you can be assured that it is absolutely safe !
The Dual Yellow has two output wavelengths which can be used separately or combined to produce high power densities.
🟢 The 511 nm green line is well absorbed by melanin. Ideal for treating all pigmented lesions which contain melanin.
🟡 The 578 nm yellow line is well absorbed by hemoglobin.
